Cane’s Chicken

Today, on my last day to write a blog post, I decided to go to Raising Cane’s Chicken for some good food and hopefully free wifi access. Upon my arrival, I looked across from me and saw Wendy’s, with a sign on their door reading “Free Wifi!” I figured that because i was already parked at Cane’s, I would just risk it and go inside.
As I went to order, I asked if they had wifi access. The employee at the counter seemed confused, rushed, as if she needed to get to something else. Her response of “umm, yeah maybe over there, you mean like internet?” did not reassure me at all that my dining decision was a good one. As I finished my order, the door opened and a party of six or seven walked in. She asked for my name, told me my total, and said it would be right out. I sat down at a table, only to find that there was in fact no wifi available to me. A little annoyed, I sat there, waiting for them to call ‘Sarah,’ and deciding where I would be able to complete my blog post. The minutes passed, so far the customer service I had received was DISAPPOINTING. I kept checking my phone. Two. Three. Five, and finally ten minutes had passed, and the entire party that came in after me were seated and eating their freshly made chicken. I walked up to the counter, and explained that I was still waiting for my food, and I was in a hurry. She quickly apologized and told the kitchen of the mistake. A minute later my kids meal was out, and I left. I could finally eat my two miniscule pieces of chicken.

This experience sticks out to me as one of the worst customer service mishaps that have happened to me. I won’t be going to Cane’s anytime soon, and the chicken didn’t even taste that great. My stomach also hurt after I ate it. Overall, I give Cane’s of Grove City a C-. I feel that I’m being gracious, because though they haven’t happened to me, I have witnessed worse situations. I used to work in fast food, so I know that situations like these can be easily avoided if the employee’s are motivated to provide good service. The one’s at Raising Cane’s were not.
